Just added another sneak peek on my fanfiction.net acount. It was the original sneak peek for Alternative before I put it up, but I revised it with new information.

ALTERNATIVE (Various Chapters)

With one last shout, he had disappeared into it, fading away like everything else above them. He was gone . . .

“I saw something — something different.”

Her eyes narrowed in anger and her face showed a look of pure loathing. She was going to get even, no matter the consequences.

“I know it was him.”

She was never able to push them away. Then one Sunday night, she had a nightmare, reliving The Fatality.

“The Black Guard? Now I know how Danny felt with Inviso-Bill.”

There was someone in the distance. She was crying . . . screaming his name.

“Then why can’t I see her?”

He leaned forward. They were so close. . .

“It wasn’t to punish you Danny.”

“I have my reasons,” Clockwork said, unaware that the boy had mouthed the words silently and rolled his eyes.

“It was never supposed to be—“

“No!” she yelled, running after him. She wasn’t going to let him escape. “Take me to Danny! I have to see Danny!”

“I know everything.”

A malevolent smirk reached the ghost's lips as he studied the smoke.

"Nothing . . . lives within time."

Their fingers almost met, but when he curled his into a fist, only air had been left in his grasp.

“NO!”

He lifted his hand and placed the tips of his fingers on the edge of her mask.

"Just can't control yourself, can you, Danny?"

The question of who was holding it nagged at the back of his mind, but he could not tear his gaze away. The sharp end of the blade was pressed against his cold and pale skin.

"And I have no reason to sympathize with you.”

She clenched her teeth in anger and stopped her jet sled, falling into a sitting position as her hatred of the ghost rose rapidly.

“I don’t expect you to,” he said quietly.

“Sam!”

A frightened gasp escaped her throat and her gaze on the approaching ghost weakened.

“I’ll right back . . .”

He was here, watching her, a blurred blue evident amongst his other wonderful features. Sam could feel her eyes watering again, and the boy’s form began to swirl, every color streaking into the other.

"No, come back. . ."

—The sleeping figure’s eyes opened wide and he jumped up. His face contorted in pain and he screamed, falling to the floor with his palms pressed against his forehead.

“DAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNYYYYYY!”
